Again, MOST places dont seem to care what 3D package you use as long as you have the TALENT.
Its easier to learn a package than to develope the talent.
Ive also worked with several places that didnt care what I modeled in as long as they received them
in the 3D format of their choice. I did all the 3d characters and arena for a VR game called ORBATAK
for a company called Kaiser Electro Optics. They have a VR set up called Virtual Odyssey. I did
all the characters and objects in Lightwave but converted them to 3DS format. The motions however
were derived from Lightwaves scene files. It worked out well and took only 3 weeks or so to complete.
We have 3 ex Origin exployees. They are using Lightwave for Ultima IX. I talked to the head of that project
and asked him why Lightwave and not 3d studio (they are creating low poly characters for the game).
He said because "there is no comparison". Origin is also one of the largest 3DS installations in the world.
